HELLO!
My name is Kathryn! You may recognize me from KM Wedding & Event Co! As a certified wedding planner with the Wedding Institute of Canada and over 7 years of experience, I have always had a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for all things weddings. After working on over 100 events, my creativity and love for art led me to pursue a career in photography.
Before starting in the wedding industry, I graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a Double Concentration in Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management, along with a minor in Marketing.
Aside from work, I love to travel and cannot wait to see where my next adventure brings me! So far, two of my favourite destinations are New York City and London, however, I will always be up for a nice relaxing trip down south! In my free time, you can usually find me watching Netflix, painting, taking care of my plants, hanging out with my fur babies Ella and Mia, or boyfriend Lucas.
WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
I have been creative for as long as I can remember! From building villages out of popsicle sticks, to making wayyy too many crafts for my parents at Christmas. Fast forward to 2016, I fell in love with weddings and began my career as a wedding planner, which led me to launch KM Wedding & Event Co in 2019.
For the past 7 years I have worked with so many amazing couples all over the maritimes, planning & designing their dream wedding day, creating memories, witnessing the joy, tears, love and laughter.
When I first started in photography, it was a hobby, but I quickly realized it was a combination of some of my favourite things, and fell in love! Capturing moments and immortalizing them in frames is nothing short of magical for me!
Launching Kathryn MacPhee Photography allowed me to combine my expertise in wedding planning with my newfound love for photography. The ability to capture the intricate details, tender glances, and candid moments has been an incredible privilege.
It brings me immense joy to create images that evoke nostalgia, to be apart of someone's story, and bring the visions to life. Photography allows me to blend artistry, storytelling and my wedding expertise all in one and I am deeply grateful for the trust my clients place in me to be a part of their most precious moments.
Through my lens, I am to capture the essence of love to create timeless images. It is my passion, my purpose, and my privilege to do what I love, to freeze time and preserve love, one frame at a time!
